DIESEL MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS

​

  • Experience in diesel mechanics, working on semi-trucks and trailers

  • Mechanic Certification (state, ASE, technical school) preferred but not required

  • Responsible to bring your own tools

  • Valid state driver's license, CDL a plus and comes with a paid premium

  • General computer knowledge

  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

Job Descripton

​

Repair, maintenance, and inspections of semi-trucks and trailers.  Completing services - tires and brakes.  Ability to perform troubleshooting / diagnostic testing and estimate repairs.  Clock (post) time to each job performed.  Maintaining service records.  Working well together with other mechanics to problem solve repair issues.  Typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 7am to 5pm.  (45 - 50 hr. week/overtime @ time and half).  Some after-hour service calls required.
